Questions about our data centers

Answers to the most common questions about Adminor's data centers, network infrastructure and certifications.

Adminor operates two data center facilities in Stockholm: one in Solna (Stockholm North) with partner Fiber Direkt AB, and one in Västberga with GleSYS AB. Both are located in Sweden, meaning all data is stored under GDPR and Swedish law. The geographic distance between the facilities enables active-active or active-passive configuration for maximum redundancy.

The Solna facility (Fiber Direkt) is certified under ISO 27001 and ISO 14001. Västberga (GleSYS) holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 — three of the most recognised international standards for quality, environmental management and information security. Both facilities undergo regular external audits.

PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) measures how efficiently a data center uses energy — a PUE of 1.0 is perfect and means all energy goes to IT equipment. The Västberga facility has a PUE of 1.2, which is exceptional and means only 20% of energy goes to cooling and infrastructure. The industry average is 1.5–1.8. Excess heat is recovered and delivered to the local district heating network, making the facility effectively CO₂-neutral.

AS51701 is Adminor's own autonomous system — a registered BGP network that gives us full control over IP routing. With our own AS we can announce IP prefixes independently of individual upstream operators, providing redundancy and stability. The network has a 100 Gbps backbone between the two data center facilities and is connected to STHIX (Stockholm Internet Exchange) for direct peering with Swedish and Nordic networks.

Yes. All infrastructure in Adminor's data centers — Solna and Västberga — is physically located in Sweden and the EU. This means data never leaves EU jurisdiction and is subject to GDPR. Both facilities are also ISO 27001-certified, which requires systematic information security management including the handling of personal data. We can provide data processing agreements (DPA) for customers with regulatory requirements.
