A VPN that is actually yours — not a shared service

The difference vs Mullvad, NordVPN or ExpressVPN: you own the server, you control the logging, you have a dedicated public IP that is not shared with hundreds of other users. No external logging rules outside your control.

Swedish jurisdiction

The server sits in Stockholm with a Swedish operator (AS51701). Only Swedish and European law applies — no CLOUD Act, no FISA 702, no US-based parent company jurisdiction.

Dedicated public IP

Your VPN server gets its own static IPv4 + IPv6. No sharing with thousands of other users, no blocklist contamination, no captcha storms from "VPN detectors".

WireGuard or OpenVPN

Your choice: WireGuard for maximum performance (kernel module, modern cryptography) or OpenVPN for broadest client support (UDP/TCP, certificate-based). We help you set up the right one.

No shared logging policy

You decide what gets logged on the server. Want no logging at all? Disable journald storage, configure nftables without conntrack, run WireGuard without kqueue export. Full control.

No traffic cap on larger plans

3 TB/mo included from Starter upwards. For teams using VPN as a daily workflow path this is significantly more than most commercial VPNs allow before throttling.

Swedish phone support

Need help setting up WireGuard or OpenVPN? We have done it countless times since 1983. Swedish-speaking engineers on the phone during business hours.

VPS plans for VPN server

A VPN server normally does not need much CPU or RAM. The Mini plan is enough for 1–5 users. For 10–50 users, choose Starter or VPS #1.

Vanliga frågor

Commercial VPNs are shared services where thousands of users share the same exit IP. That gives you anonymity toward destinations — but you have no control over logging, no dedicated IP, and often face CAPTCHA storms when browsing because the IP is known as "VPN". Your own VPN on your own VPS gives you a unique IP, no sharing, and you decide on logging and policy yourself.

WireGuard is the default choice in 2026: faster, simpler configuration, modern cryptography, smaller codebase to audit. Runs as a kernel module on Linux. OpenVPN is right when you need broadest client support (older operating systems, routers without WireGuard) or specific enterprise features (RADIUS, LDAP authentication). Both work well on Adminor VPS.

Yes. When you connect to your VPN endpoint in Stockholm, the service sees a Swedish IP. SVT Play, Sveriges Radio and other geographically restricted Swedish services work normally. Note that the terms of use of each service may prohibit VPN usage — check before relying on it.

For WireGuard: Mini (1 GB RAM) handles 5–10 concurrent users at normal load, Starter (4 GB RAM) handles 20–50, VPS #1 (8 GB RAM) handles 100+. The bottleneck is usually bandwidth, not CPU — a single user streaming 4K pulls ~25 Mbps. Plan for peak load.

You own the server and decide on logging yourself. Adminor logs at the hypervisor level (network traffic per VM, for debugging) but not VPN client-to-client traffic inside your VPS. Upon a court order, a Swedish authority can request logs — but if you do not log inside your VPS, there is no log to hand over. We recommend you review the setup with legal counsel if this is critical.

Yes. We offer a setup service where we install and configure WireGuard or OpenVPN for you, including client configuration files for all users. Typical setup time: 1–2 hours. Contact us for a quote, or choose managed hosting if you want us to run day-to-day operations as well.

Yes. WireGuard has official clients for iOS and Android that support QR-code import. We can generate QR codes for your mobile users so they connect with a single scan — no manual configuration files or usernames/passwords.

Yes. Both WireGuard and OpenVPN support site-to-site. A common use case is connecting an office network to your VPS for secure access to internal resources. We help with routing, firewall and failover. Also works for multi-site setups where multiple offices connect to the same VPN hub.

A kill switch is a firewall rule on the client that blocks all traffic if the VPN tunnel drops — preventing your real IP from leaking. Supported by both WireGuard and OpenVPN clients. We can deliver ready-made client configurations with kill switch enabled.

Yes, technically possible by chaining two VPN servers (e.g. your Adminor VPS → a server in another country). We help set it up if needed, but note that latency increases and troubleshooting becomes more complex.

Yes, if you have a static IP or dynamic DNS and a router that supports port forwarding. But: home internet usually has much lower upload speed (asymmetric), the server goes down if you turn off the machine, and the IP can be blocked as "residential" by some services. For team VPN or critical access, a VPS is the superior option.

Yes. Managed hosting (from 349 SEK/mo) can be added on top of your VPN VPS — then we handle OS updates, security patches, backup and monitoring. Read more about managed hosting.
